Inmarsat + Paradigm Communications... On Board With Global Xpress... (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Inmarsat (LSE: ISAT.L) has revealed that Paradigm Communications (‘Paradigm’) will provide...

...Global Xpress® land terminal integration services. Inmarsat Global Xpress (GX) will be the world’s first global Ka-band network, providing broadband speeds of up to 50Mbps to mobile, portable and fixed devices. The first satellite, covering Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia is scheduled for launch in Q3 2013, with global coverage planned for 2014.

Already an experienced integrator of multi-band SATCOM terminals, Paradigm will develop value added functionality around GX land terminals for enhancing network services, while retaining full GX-certification. Paradigm will work closely with Inmarsat’s other GX terminal partners, Value Added Resellers (VARs) and hardware distribution partners to tailor terminals to meet end-user requirements in varied and often demanding operating conditions.

Ulf Sandberg, Managing Director, Paradigm Communications, said, “Paradigm works closely with customers to understand their specific needs, providing terminal systems that support their businesses. We are excited to be selected by Inmarsat for this key role and look forward to delivering many value added GX-certified terminals.”
