Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES) has announced that Tony Bardo, assistant vice president for government solutions at Hughes, will participate as a speaker at the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Network Services Conference.
Mr. Bardo will serve as a panelist with satellite industry executives addressing how GSA’s SATCOM-II program offers solutions that strengthen government capabilities for emergency preparedness, Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning, and disaster recovery. The panel will discuss how SATCOM-II can enable broadcasting to the desktop, distance learning, IP data casting, and wireless communications to facilitate the government’s emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities. The panel will take place on August 12, 2009 from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. at the Hilton Chicago. Hughes will also showcase its Inter-Government Crisis Network (IGCN) throughout the GSA Network Services conference in the exhibit area at booth #219.
