Moving On Up...@ exactEarth


[SatNews] exactEarth Ltd. today announced that it has hired Albert Antoine as Regional Sales Director for Asia and the Pacific Rim. exactEarth is the data services subsidiary of COM DEV International Ltd. (TSX: CDV). From his base in Singapore, Mr. Antoine will provide a local point of contact for customers in the region who purchase exactEarth’s space-based Automatic Identification System (S-AIS) service, exactAIS™.

“Asia and the Pacific Rim are key markets for us, and we are pleased to take this step to demonstrate our commitment to servicing prospective customers in the region,” said John Allan, exactEarth’s Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing.  “The economic, political and security implications of Maritime trade are key to this region and a satellite-based vessel monitoring service such as exactAIS is the only effective solution for true maritime domain awareness.  We are actively engaged in discussions with a number of nations in the region to provide such a service.”

Albert Antoine has provided consultancy services on maritime domain awareness issues for numerous Asian countries and been involved in installations of integrated maritime surveillance systems for search and rescue, maritime security, environmental and fisheries protection missions. Mr. Antoine has more than two decades of experience in the Asia Pacific region.  He holds a M.Sc. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management, as well as a Master in Computer Science from France’s International Institute of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
