The California Space Education and Workforce Institute (CSEWI) and its sister organization, the California Space Authority (CSA), have announced that Lynn Baroff will serve as the new Executive Director for the Institute.

Baroff comes to the Institute with extensive training and education experience, including a 16 year career at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where he began as the chief of management training in their human resources organization.  More recently, he served as JPL’s liaison to the United States Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) in El Segundo. While in this role, Baroff initiated a special program bringing technically-educated junior officers to JPL for six-month hands-on apprenticeship assignments.  Baroff has practiced as a management consultant creating employee and management educational programs for such clients as Toshiba America, Xerox, Rockwell, and the County of Los Angeles.  He has been president of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD Los Angeles) and conference chair for ASTD regional conferences.  For several years he has been lead judge in the Junior Division Behavioral Science category of the California State Science Fair.
