Globalstar, Inc. (Nasdaq:GSAT) announced the Company has signed an agreement with Quake Global, Inc., a manufacturer of satellite data modems for tracking, monitoring, and controlling industrial assets. According to the agreement, Quake Global will design, manufacture, and deliver a new line of Globalstar's integrated multimode data modems as well as a nexgen satellite data and voice module (SDVM). According to Polina Braunstein, President and CEO of Quake Global, "For the first time, Quake will be able to offer satellite voice capability in addition to its well-established data transmittal services." Quake expects to deliver its first model of Globalstar products by the end of 2009, and will introduce a complete line of Globalstar communicators in 2010.
