In January 2012, Inmarsat’s U.S. government functions were combined with Stratos Government Services under the Segovia entity and were rebranded as Inmarsat Government. In order to more strategically serve the U.S. government market requirements, a further reorganization was completed that divided the U.S. government business into two entities.

The first organization is the Inmarsat U.S. government business unit, which serves all of Inmarsat’s wholesale business partners within the U.S. government market, including Inmarsat Government, supplying Inmarsat’s products and services. Led by Peter Hadinger as president, the U.S. government business unit is headquartered in Washington, D.C.

The second organization within our new structure, known as Inmarsat Government, is a cleared company operating under a Proxy Agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense. Inmarsat Government’s mandate is to manage and grow Inmarsat’s retail U.S. government business, delivering a broad portfolio of integrated mission-critical communication solutions and managed network services worldwide. Inmarsat Government is headquartered in Herndon, VA. Ms. Miller is responsible for the overall business strategy and direction for Inmarsat Government, as the wholly-owned, independent retail subsidiary of Inmarsat plc to the U.S. government.

This reorganization reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to provide products and services that meet customers' unique mission requirements.

With the Global Xpress service launch on the horizon and the broad portfolio of global, innovative mobile and fixed satellite services, to include secure fiber networks and value-added managed network services, Ms. Miller states this is an exciting time for her organization that has been a trusted partner of the U.S. military, intelligence and civilian agencies for more than 33 years.
