SATCON—An Industry Gathering Of Note (Event)

[SatNews] The time has come to prepare your November calendar for a visit to the Satellite Communications Conference & Expo, otherwise known as SATCON, which will be held from November 13th. to the 14th. at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

SATCON has expanded its partnership with the Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI). In addition to the esteemed Future Leaders Dinner the evening before SATCON, we are partnering to bring a state of the industry address from today's and tomorrow's business leaders.

The Keynote address if "Leadership Dialogue: Present Priorities, Future Vision."
Join a moderated dialogue between leaders of today's satellite business and the winners of SSPI's 2013 Promise Awards, satellite executives under the age of 35 who have been identified by their employers and an independent jury as potential leader of tomorrow's industry. The dialogue will explore the most profound trends shaping technology, markets and business models in coming decades, from HTS to launch vehicles, ubiquitous communications to in-orbit industries. It will challenge the assumptions undergirding today's business - dominated by complex, purpose-built satellites requiring long lifetimes to achieve profit goals - and ask what a drastically different industry might look like. From different perspectives, present and future leaders will try to define what the world's first and most successful space industry will look like when today's young executives are in the C-suites of tomorrow's companies.
