[SatNews] Historic net profits have been set...

HISPASAT has set historic record in net profit of 71.4 million euros, with the satellite operator´s revenue surpassing 181.3 million euros, an increase of 20.2 percent over 2009. The success of the internationalization process has boosted the Group’s turnover derived from the American market to 44 percent. The company's EBITDA rises above 144.5 million euros, with yields and efficiencies that positions the Company as one of the major, global, satellite operators. The successful launch of Hispasat 1E certainly strengthened the Company´s presence in Europe, America and Africa.

HISPASA, now the seventh satellite operator in the world by revenue, continues its growth process, with 2010 year-end results exceeding expectations and targets for the sixth consecutive year. The Group's consolidated revenue has increased more than 20 percent over the previous year, to a total of 181.3 million euros, with a strong regional presence in the Spanish and Portuguese markets and an important market share in America. At the end of 2010 more than 44 percent, of revenue was generated in overseas markets. The HISPASAT Group´s total accumulated income as of December 31, 2010, was 181.3 million euros, double the number obtained in 2004. Out of total revenue, 96.4 percent of the earnings correspond to the leasing of spatial capacity.
