Romantis + Race Communications—Expansion Employs Hubs + VSATs (SatBroadcasting™—Equipment)

[SatNews] Romantis has received an order to supply an additional VSAT hub and 2,000 Universal Hardware Platform (UHP) VSAT terminals to Race Communications.

Earlier this year, Romantis delivered two hubs and 1,000 terminal units to the fast-growing Russian operator. The equipment will be used to expand Race Communications networks via the Intelsat 904 satellite at 60 degrees East. Intelsat 904 offers C- and Ku-band coverage across Africa, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, supporting DTH services to customers in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Intelsat is working closely with leading network hardware manufacturers and service providers, such as Romantis, to align their product development plans with the firm's next generation Intelsat EpicNG platform. Romantis UHP is the latest generation, high-throughput, universal, VSAT platform with increased performance, advanced QoS and multi-profile operations.
