DigitalGlobe... Moving On Up x2...


[SatNews] New executives are taking their lead positions within DigitalGlobe.

DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI) has announced the appointment of Jeffrey GoebeI as Vice President of Geospatial Value Added Products and Services and Jack Hild as Vice President of U.S. Defense Strategy. Both have held prestigious careers with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and bring a strong degree of knowledge and skill to DigitalGlobe.

Most recently, Goebel was the Director of the NGA Office of Commercial Partnerships, where his office’s contractual efforts provided over 75 percent of the GEOINT information to meet the NGA’s geospatial data needs and ensure the safety of navigation missions. He was also responsible for providing critical analytic skills to address current and enduring intelligence issues. In addition, Goebel’s office served as the Agency Program Manager for the billion-dollar Global Geospatial Intelligence contract.

Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, Hild served as the Assistant Chief Information Officer at NGA, where he focused on geospatial intelligence data and sources. In his previous position at NGA, Hild was the Deputy Director of the Source Operations Key Component where he provided executive oversight of satellite and airborne imagery operations, commercial partnerships, international cooperative programs and geospatial data and mapping programs.
