[SatNews] SES Platform Services GmbH has won an international tender by Turner Broadcasting System.

Starting November 2013, SES Platform Services will provide playout for Boomerang, Cartoon Network, glitz*, TNT Film and TNT Serie for the German-speaking market. The second core aspect of the agreement will see SES Platform Services providing playout for Turner content on the on-demand and catch-up services of Turner’s distribution partners in the Benelux region and in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From November 2013, SES Platform Services will also begin digitizing Turner content and converting it into the necessary formats for digital distribution.

Sophie Lersch, Chief Sales Officer at SES Platform Services, said, “We are delighted that Turner Broadcasting System has selected our company. Video-on-demand, online and multi-screen services are becoming increasingly important to our customers, alongside our standard broadcasting services. We offer a wide range of perfectly integrated products, providing our customers with the best possible services for their business all from one source.”
