Segovia... Moving On Up...

[SatNews] A new face will be directing this firm's sales and other efforts.

Segovia, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Inmarsat plc and a provider of secure, global telecommunications to the public and private sectors, has announced that Gabe Venturi has been named vice president of business operations. In this role, he will lead Segovia's new sales efforts, business development, marketing and program management. He will report directly to Mike Wheeler, president and CEO of Segovia. Previously, Mr. Venturi was a key member of Segovia's early management team, where he was critical in driving organic growth across its programs. He has also held senior account management positions at Global Telecom and Technology, Qwest Communications and Level 3 Communications. Additionally, Mr. Venturi will speak about the challenges facing the satellite industry during Satellite 2011 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. He will participate in the panel "SWOT: Two Steps Ahead of the Competition" on Thursday, March 17, 2011, 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
