RF-Design—Switching + Routing Solutions Debut (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Two new L-band switch/routing matrices have been released by RF-Design.

The new FlexLink K4 is a modular and scalable 4RU/19-inch L-band Switch/Routing-Matrix available from 4:4...32:32 inputs/outputs within 4RU/19-inch Master-Chassis, while the Master-/Slave-chassis concept allows to expand the system via integrated cascading-ports, e.g., to 128:128 (increments of 4) without the need of any other additional devices such as splitters/combiners.

This innovative Matrix system is an excellent switching/routing solution and ideally suited for applications in teleports, satellite Earth stations, broadcasting facilities as well as CATV/IPTV headend architectures. The FlexLink K4 allows local control via a colored 8-inch touch-screen while remote access and configuration can be done via its Ethernet-interface (http/WEB-GUI, SNMP).

The new FlexLink S2A in 1RU/19-inch design is a stand-alone 8:24 L-band Switch Matrix for today´s and future L-band signal management applications. It allows to switch/route up to 8 independent inputs to up to 24 outputs without limitations and interferences while all combinations are freely configureable.

The FlexLink S2A is equipped with a front-side LC-Display and keypads for user-friendly local configuration. Remote access and configuration can be done via its Ethernet-interface (http/WEB-GUI, SNMP).
