...prestigious 2013 Awards for Technological Innovation. The winners will be announced at its annual Gala Dinner on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013, at Drapers’ Hall, London. The awards, open to the entire broadband industry, are for technological innovation in the broadband arena and may be for a product, system or concept. The item nominated must have been introduced into the marketplace between January 1, 2012, and December 31, 2012. The shortlisted companies/products in the three separate award categories are:

Best broadband network transmission solution shortlist

  • ARRIS Group Inc.—CHP Corwave Dual Density Transmitter
  • Harmonic Inc—NSG Pro Converged Cable Access Platform
  • Teleste Corporation—AC8700 Optical Node

Best digital processing solution shortlist

  • Bridge Technologies—VB330 Digital Network Monitoring Solution
  • Elemental Technologies—Elemental Live 1.5
  • Wisi Communications GmbH & Co. KG—Chameleon GNHWUW2

    Best CPE solution shortlist
  • Asheridge Communications Ltd.—BarrIER
  • Motorola Mobility—Motorola VAP2400 Wireless Bridge
  • Technetix—F-Safe connectors

Last year’s winner of the best overall submission was ARRIS for its Media Services Platform. Founded in 1945, the SCTE is a Learned Society and non-profit making organisation whose aim is to raise the standard of broadband engineering in the telecommunications industry. The Society particularly concerns itself with the training and career advancement of technical professionals in the field.
