[SatNews] Between the 7th and the 11th of June, 2010, Toulouse — a most attractive city in the South of France — will become the world capital and host of the 2010 Toulouse Space Show. This event will offer a unique opportunity to meet more than 1,500 experts and representatives of leading companies, space industry, satellite and telecommunication operators, service providers, government bodies and agencies, research centers and user communities who will be present from around the world.
The Toulouse Space Show will be held at the Pierre Baudis Convention Center, near the city center, and will host five international events and, in particular, the S@tcom 2010 Symposium, which is co-organized by IDATE (an internationally well-knowned consulting company) and CNES (the French Space Agency). For two days, the symposium will be a key international think-tank event that will address the future of the digital economy and the roles played by SATCOMS, as well as identifying growth perspectives for this sector.
The S@tcom 2010 Symposium will tackle the issues present between satellite and ground based communications, and investigate the challenges and growth opportunities for SATCOM firms. Also to be identified is what is at stake for the various players in the added value chain (equipments and satellite manufacturers, satellite operators, telecommunication operators, Internet giants, service providers and so on) and what their chances are to be efficiently positioned on the various "tomorrow markets."
This event is organized under the patronage of Mrs. Nathalie KOSCIUSKO-MORIZET, French Secretary of State for Strategic Studies and the Development of the Digital Economy. Many prestigious, senior VIP speakers from major worldwide companies, such as Google, Cisco, Akamai, Nokia, NHK, SFR, AWOX, SES WORLD SKIES, SES Astra, Intelsat, Inmarsat, Eutelsat, Iridium, Globalstar, O3b Networks, Globecast, Thales Alenia Space, EADS-Astrium, Spot Images, Telespazio and others have already confirmed their participation.
