SBCA — SatBroadcasting™

[SatNews] Information for readers interested in the myriad environments of the various and ever-expanding satellite broadcasting market segments.

Satellite Broadcasting Communications Association (SBCA) members and consumer satellite industry professionals are now able to submit grant requests for charities they donate time or money to in their local communities through the SBCA Foundation. The SBCA Foundation was established in order to support the efforts of individuals and companies in the consumer-based satellite video and broadband industry who are making a contribution to improve the lives of the people in their communities. Requests will be accepted from any individual or company within the industry and the selected grants will be awarded to the non-profit organization. The grant application is at www.sbcafoundation.org. Applications will be accepted until February 1st, 2012. In some cases, it will be individuals in the industry who have devoted time and effort to some worthy community effort (homeless shelter, working with returning veterans, literacy, and so on). In other cases, it might be an entire company that has committed to a project or mission (helping to build a house for Habitat for Humanity, rebuilding a community center destroyed by a hurricane, etc.)
