JD Events—Less Than 30 Days Until SATCON 2013 (Event)

[SatNews] SATCON is a little more than a month away—keep up with what's trending in the world of satellite communications by registering today to attend these key industry events.

SATCON, The Satellite Communication Conference & Expo, runs from November 13-14, 2013, New York, NY. The keynote is "Leadership Dialogue: Present Priorities, Future Vision." Join a moderated dialogue between leaders of today’s satellite business and the winners of SSPI’s 2013 Promise Awards, satellite executives under 35 who have been identified by their employers and an independent jury as potential leader of tomorrow’s industry. The dialogue will explore the most profound trends shaping technology, markets and business models in coming decades, from HTS to launch vehicles, ubiquitous communications to in-orbit industries.

From different perspectives, present and future leaders will try to define what the world’s first and most successful space industry will look like when today’s young executives are in the C-suites of tomorrow’s companies. Learn more...

The Vision Awards are sponsored by Satellite Markets and Research and are open to all registered SATCON attendees. This is their 2nd Annual Vision Awards reception where they will be making awards in three categories to deserving individuals, companies and products in the satellite industry. Categories are: Visionary Executive of the Year, Most Promising Company of the Year, Most Innovative Product or Service of the Year. Deadline for nominations is October 18, 2013. The winners of the Vision Awards will be presented during a reception at SATCON on November 13, 2013, which will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. Find complete information at www.satellitemarkets.com/visionawards.

Then, join the Society of Satellite Professionals International the evening before SATCON for the 2013 Future Leaders Dinner (separate registration required). This event occurs at The Penn Club, 30 West 44th Street in Manhattan on November 12, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. Visit here for more information.
