Falcon IP/Complete and Verimatrix have announced GulfPines Communications, LLC, has selected their IPTV solution to deliver a powerful, advanced video solution. Additionally, the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS) for IPTV has been selected for deployment by ZillionTV.

The Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) for IPTV has been fully integrated with the Falcon IP/Complete™ IPTV delivery system, which encompasses content aggregation and delivery from satellite, router, and DSLAM. Capitalizing on the comprehensive IP/Complete platform, GulfPines is able to roll out secure triple-play services with an impressive channel lineup and video recording capabilities as well as parental controls and other advanced services. The MPEG-4 IPTV platform from Falcon IP/Complete is one of the leading IPTV wholesale solutions for rural telecoms, combining best-of-breed content security technology from Verimatrix and middleware from Thomson. Falcon also provides installation, signal management, and testing services, with final delivery to the STB within the subscriber's home with 24/7 ongoing support. Software-based VCAS for IPTV obviates the need for smart cards through the leverage of mature, proven, two-way Internet security protocols, a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) public/private key pair system, and X.509 digital certificates. A downloadable security system for IP clients is more secure, enables less expensive STB hardware, and can be quickly updated as required to combat potential pirate attacks.

The ZillionTV service, which was launch in March, is expected to offer some 15,000 titles from studios and TV networks and all will be available via the Company's ZillionTV Device, ZillionTV Remote control (a motion-sensing remote control) and high-speed Internet connection.
