The new line of mixers is designed specifically for satellite applications. The TBS2731LW1 is ideally suited for converting from L- to Ka-band, or Ka- to L-band. The mixer has superb conversion loss and VSWRs as well as excellent spurious response and outstanding LO isolations. This device meets rugged environmental MIL specs, operates over a -54 to +85°C temperature range and is ideal for rugged Military and Commercial system applications.

MITEQ Inc. is also introducing a new addition, Model AMF-5F-18002200-17-10P, to its family of extremely low noise and ultra small coaxial LNAs in the 18-22 GHz band. This LNA has over 40 dB of gain in a housing that is only 8 mm high and 16 mm long without the field-replaceable K-connectors. Gain flatness is a maximum of ±1.5 dB, though typical is ±0.75 dB. The AMF-5F-18002200-17-10P has a maximum noise figure of 1.7 dB in the full band, and typical is 1.5 dB. It operates from -40 to +75°C, has a P1dB of minimum 10 dBm, IP3 of typically 20 dBm, and a current draw of maximum 180 mA from a single +15V DC supply. Port VSWR is less than 2:1 for both input and output. Other models with typical gains ranging from 23 to 47 dB are available in two sizes of housings, with smaller one only 12 mm long without the connectors. The aluminum alloy housing provides excellent thermal performance in addition to being very small and light. Hermetic sealing is an option.

And there's now a new addition to the Miteq family of narrowband waveguide LNAs. The Model JDM2WK-20202120-15-8P is a very low noise, high dynamic range waveguide front end with WR-42 waveguide input and K(F) connector output, also available with WR51 input. This unit is great as an Airborne SATCOM data link. This low-noise amplifier is lightweight and has a small profile and footprint. The aluminum alloy housing is environmentally sealed and also fully EMI shielded with optional shielded DC power connector. LNA includes reverse voltage protection and full internal regulation. Total weight is approximately 32 grams, and dimensions are 58.12 mm x 22.35 mm and 22.35 mm. Model JDM2WK-20202120-15-8P has a typical noise figure of 1.5 dB and a minimum P1dB of 8 dBm. Output IP3 is 18 dBm minimum. Small-signal gain is 48 dB and gain flatness is ±0.5 dB maximum. Current draw is nominally 150 mA from a single +15V supply. Operating temperature is -54 to +85°C case. Additional options include pressure windows and three flange configurations, choke, grooved and cover.
