Broadpoint and AT&T Provide Broad Gulf Coverage

Broadpoint Broadpoint, a full-service telecommunications and network solutions company, has extended its alliance with AT&T in the form of a long-term contract extending AT&T’s wireless voice and data capabilities further into the Gulf of Mexico. This provides critical connectivity to AT&T’s business customers as Broadpoint’s coverage spans over 100,000 square miles in the Gulf of Mexico. The current contract is the latest in a long-standing relationship between the two companies, and represents the largest contract signed in the history of Broadpoint. Over the next few years, it will enable AT&T to expand its mobile enterprise customer base via Broadpoint’s cellular communication system. AT&T’s ability to keep its business customers connected when roaming the Gulf of Mexico differentiates the company from its competitors and validates Broadpoint’s reliability.

AT&T appreciates the need of providing their business and enterprise customers with a reliable communications system despite the location of their jobs, which is where their partnership with Broadpoint solves the issue. J.R. Wilson, associate vice president of Partnerships and Alliances for AT&T’s wireless operations said, “AT&T serves more than 95 percent of the Fortune 100 and over 80 percent of the Fortune 500 companies. Broadpoint’s coverage spans over 100,000 square miles in the Gulf of Mexico, allowing dependable remote access, helping our customers increase productivity when offshore and improve their bottom lines.”
