- ND SatCom, an SES ASTRA company, has announced that the President & CEO, Dr. Karl Claßen, has decided to leave the company. Karl Claßen has headed ND SatCom as President since July of 2000 and has strongly supported the international expansion of the satellite communications supplier. Padraig McCarthy, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SES ASTRA, will take over the function on an interim basis.
- ORBCOMM Inc. (NASDAQ: ORBC) has named Susan Saadat as Senior Vice President - Operations. Ms. Saadat will focus her efforts on all aspects of ORBCOMM’s operational processes, including customer service, technical support, service assurance, application development, subscriber communicator development and type approval, as well as development of internal development projects. She has more than 20 years of experience in the satellite industry.
