  • The 1st Bengaluru Space Expo 2008 is unveiling its presence as the first International Exhibition & Conference on Space Technologies, Equipment & Products sponsored by the Trade Fairs Division of the Confederation of Indian Industry. The CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and ISRO (India Space Research Organization) are both organizing this event, which will be held from November 29th through December 1st at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru, India. The show aims to focus on space and all associated elements and significant industry participation is expected.

  • DataPath, Inc. has formed a strategic partnership with French company Metracom to provide sales and integration support for the MaxView® Network Management System in Europe. Metracom specializes in engineering and system integration, technical assistance, training, and consulting services in support of satellite communications. The companies are targeting sales of the MaxView software product line to the European government, broadcast, and satellite operator market segments. MaxView is a solution used by more than 150 government and military organizations, leading broadcasters, satellite operators and media providers around the world and adapts to evolving networks, functioning as the network "operating environment," the network manager-of-managers, or an element control-and-automation system. Designed by network engineers for network engineers, MaxView's intuitive Service Creation Framework enables it to be operated without any software development experience.

  • iDirect has announced that CYBERNET, an Internet and data communications provider, has implemented a nexgen IP network built on iDirect’s Evolution DVB-S2 product line with Adaptive Coding and Modulation (ACM). The new network allows CYBERNET to deliver critical broadband connectivity to a range of businesses, especially in the financial sector, which is experiencing rapid growth. CYBERNET will use the new network to provide broadband connectivity to the banking sector, connecting remote offices with enterprise applications and allowing banks to extend access to ATMs and online banking to customers.

  • Spacecom (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: SCC) has revealed HBO Central Europe has launched three new HD channels using AMOS satellites. The three channels target HBO’s growing presence in key markets of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. HBO Central Europe signed a 10-year deal with Spacecom to expand its channel bouquet transmission via the AMOS satellites for transmission of its new HD channels. The three new HD channels contain premium content, which until now had been distributed in SD format only, and now will be retailed by cable and DTH platforms across the CEE region.

  • Talia and Telesat are pleased to announce that Talia has acquired A large amount of capacity on Telesat's Telstar 12 satellite has been acquired by Talia, who will use the capacity to host the first nexgen iDirect Evolution (DVB-S2) networks available in the Middle East and North Africa region. Talia's Telstar 12-based iDirect Evolution service is the first launched into the Middle East and North African markets and is designed to accommodate a large number of sites for corporate, NGO, government, military, and private customers. Talia already operates iDirect Infiniti networks in the Middle East and North Africa on a variety of satellites.

  • EU CE logo WB Walton Enterprises has received the European Union Declaration of Conformity for their models DS-4 and DS-12K De-Icers (includes units rated at 1.2KW, 1.7KW, 4.0KW, 6.0KW and 12.0KW). These products are now fully compliant with the EU directives and are eligible to bear the CE MARK. The investigation, testing, and validation was conducted by Garwood Laboratories, Inc., an independent and accredited Test Lab with facilities in San Clemente, California. On request, interested parties may view the evaluations and test data, which are contained in Technical Construction File GLIQ5395.
