He has a strong background in finance and investments with more than 23 years of experience in the finance, venture, and public equity markets. He has significant experience interacting with senior institutional equity portfolio managers at pension funds, foundations, hedge funds, and mutual funds. Prior to joining GeoEye, he served as an investment manager with Ironbound Capital Management where he was responsible for evaluating and recommending mid- and large-capitalization companies for inclusion in a $1 billion global value hedge fund. Mr. Scherago was a senior research analyst at Furman Selz, Inc., Robertson Stephens, Dean Witter, Prudential Securities Inc., First Albany Capital and a portfolio manager at the Paribas U.S. Growth Fund.
