....to the Christian Broadcasting Network (‘CBN’) on a 60-day trial period with an opt-in program. “This trial will allow CBN to use our proprietary technology to broadcast HD video into the Middle East. We are pleased to welcome Christian Broadcasting Network as another one of Raystream’s customers to trial the integration of our live streaming HD video solution with our HD video compression technology,” said Brian Petersen, Raystream’s CEO. “This trial will allow CBN to use our proprietary technology to broadcast HD video into the Middle East.”
Raystream’s live streaming process enables HD video to be compressed as it is generated, prior to streaming over the Internet. Raystream’s technology can be seamlessly incorporated into existing HD video streaming processes, significantly reducing the bandwidth needed to stream live events. Raystream announced its new live streaming solution on November 7, 2011. The software is applicable to any live event being recorded in HD video format and is broadcast over the Internet. Bandwidth requirements to stream the HD video and the associated costs for capacity used to stream HD video are drastically reduced with no decrease in the quality or clarity of the video.
