[SatNews] Cambium Networks is showcasing its Canopy PMP 450 to Asian service providers at this year’s CommunicAsia. The fourth-generation Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) fixed wireless broadband access solution delivers the high-speed connectivity, the capacity and the performance required to meet the increasing demand of today’s market.
The platform enables service providers to rapidly deploy new services and increase revenue and profitability by operating with a combination of high throughput, low latency and GPS synchronization. This allows service providers to see a much faster return on investment. With the increased capacity provided by the PMP 450, service providers now have the option to provide additional bandwidth and expand network connectivity.
Since its launch last year, the PMP 450 has been successfully deployed as part of a number of projects. The most recent venture involved Dundee City Council, which has benefitted from a stable network that provides a large number of users with reliable ICT services. Cambium’s partner, Rapier Systems Limited, deployed the Cambium PMP 450 and since its deployment it has made a significant impact, providing three times more available bandwidth than its legacy system, giving users a superfast connection to vital online services. Cambium is at stand BN1-05 at CommunicAsia.
