United Launch Alliance... Moving On Up...


WGS-3 prior to Delta mating United Launch Alliance President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Gass announced leadership changes today for ULA’s East and West Coast Launch Operations teams.  ULA’s East Coast Launch Operation is located at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, and its West Coast Launch Operation is located at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.  The following organizational changes take effect December. 14:
  • Tony Taliancich, current Director, ULA East Coast Launch Operations, is appointed Director, Customer Program Office
  • Mark Dowhan, current Director, ULA West Coast Launch Operations, is appointed Director, ULA East Coast Launch Operations replacing Taliancich
  • Rick Beach, current Director, Common Upper Stage and Product Evolution, is appointed Director, ULA West Coast Launch Operations replacing Dowhan
“These leadership changes will enable ULA to continue to provide quality service to our customers while continuing to provide the most reliable assured access to space at our launch sites on both coasts,” Gass said. “In addition, Tony’s background and experience make him the right person to work closely with the Air Force, NRO and NASA leadership, as well as, our commercial customers in the years ahead.  Mark and Rick will continue to build on the significant progress in transforming our heritage Atlas and Delta launch teams into one cohesive team delivering our products and services more efficiently to our customers.”
