TECOM KuStream 2000 Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) TV receive antenna system designed for narrow body commercial aircraft was launched in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with Azul Brazilian Airlines. At their media event and system launch, Azul unveiled 39 aircraft that have the TECOM KuStream 2000 satellite antenna system installed. Passengers are reporting excellent performance of the In-flight Entertainment System.

The TECOM KuStream 2000 antenna system consists of an External Antenna Assembly (EAA) and an Antenna Control Unit (ACU) used to receive television signals from Ku-band satellites. These signals are converted for displaying 48 channels of live television entertainment on board the aircraft during flight. The system is custom designed for Azul for operating in the equatorial regions.
