Global VSAT Forum (GVF)—Training Announcement @ IBC2013 (Event)

[SatNews] The Global VSAT Forum (GVF) has launched its Enhanced Training Services (ETS) program at IBC2013.

The new program enables organizations to reach out to customers and support industry initiatives, such as interference prevention through sponsorships. It also enables them to rapidly deploy a training system for their own staff that integrates the GVF curriculum with a custom branded portal and customized courses.

GVF’s training content and administration provider, SatProf, Inc., has crafted a range of options by building on the extensibility and partitioning capabilities of the GVF online learning system and web site.  These include sponsorship administration, listing on the new GVF Training Partners web page, a custom-branded training portal, reference document libraries, courses and learning paths customized for the organization, on-site classroom administration support, and training manager administration access. In addition, by maintaining a GVF-trained staff, organizations may now display the GVF Accredited Organization for Training seal in their own materials and on the GVF Training Partners page.

SatProf works with each organization to design an optimum options package.  Satellite operators, for example, can sponsor seats in core training for interference-prevention skills, presented on a fully-branded portal with progress tracking.  Service providers may choose to deploy their staff training program with the standard GVF fundamentals curriculum, supplemented by their own online training and classroom/hands-on sessions, all within a single, integrated, managed portal.  Equipment manufacturers can reach out to new customers by reselling or sponsoring education seats.  All of these modes can be combined as required in order to offer maximum value to the organization. Many of these options, including the custom branded portal, a custom introductory course, reference document repository, and training accreditation, are available at no cost for committed GVF training users.   Organizations new to GVF training are welcome take advantage of a no-cost, no-commitment Starter Plan.

The Enhanced Training Services plans integrate marketing and promotion support for the organization through GVF channels including newsletters, website, and events. GVF will be exhibiting at IBC2013 on booth 6.B05.
