RigNet, Inc., a global provider of managed communications solutions for the oil and gas industry, has named Hector Maytorena to the position of Vice President and General Manager, Americas Region, announced Mark Slaughter, RigNet CEO & President. Based at RigNet's Houston headquarters, Maytorena most recently served as Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing. Prior to RigNet, Maytorena was general manager, Southeast Texas, for United Technologies' UTC Fire & Security (operating under the Chubb Security and Redhawk brands) and earlier was director of sales at Chubb Security USA.  Maytorena has a long history within the remote communications industry, holding various sales, marketing, and business development leadership roles with increasing responsibility at Stratos Global Corporation's Broadband Division.
