SIA... Expert Sessions (Event)


[SatNews] SIA’s Fourth Annual Army Commercial SATCOM Users' Workshop is scheduled for Monday, August 22, 2011, at LandWarNet 2011.

The good news is that early-registration is still available for this event. The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) and the U.S. Army PM WIN-T have the honor of announcing two leading U.S. Army SATCOM experts as guest speakers:
  • Major General James Thomas Walton (USAR), Director, Chief Integration Office, Office of the Chief Information Officer/G-6 will give opening remarks
  • Brigadier General N. Lee S. Price, Program Executive Officer for Command, Control, Communications (Tactical) (C3T) will be the luncheon keynote speaker
In addition, government and industry experts will join in interactive sessions on the following topics:
     
  • Mobility Demands: An Operational View of Technology vs. Requirements”
  • “SATCOM Support for Situational Awareness: Standards and Requirements”
  • “Field Perspectives: SATCOM Technology and Policy Support for effective SATCOM Deployment in the Field”
  • “Lessons Learned for the Way Ahead”
Registration for the SIA’s Army SATCOM Workshop is separate from registration for the LandWarNet 2011 Conference and Pre-Day Sessions. The SIA’s Army SATCOM Workshop registration fee includes attendance to the full-day of SIA Workshop sessions and luncheon. SIA Workshop participants who registered before August 19 can obtain an Exhibit-Only badge at the LandWarNet 2011 registration desk on the upper floor.
