digiGO! Miranda Keeps On Truckin'
Miranda Technologies announced that the Company's NVISION routers were used by the brand-new IMS-HD2 production truck, owned by Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Productions, which played a major role in providing world television feeds for NBA Entertainment for the National Basketball Association (NBA) final games in Los Angeles.
NBA Entertainment provides comprehensive coverage of the NBA Finals, and features more than 100 broadcasting hours, including NBA Entertainment studio shows on the scene in Los Angeles with news, features and interviews. IMS-HD2 is a 53-foot production truck and is equipped with Miranda’s NVISION 8288 Truck Router and the NVISION 7512 Digital Audio Router. IMS Productions selected the NVISION Truck Router for its compact size, signal density, and streamlined cable management. It also offers low-power consumption, and the ability to handle multiple formats, including 3Gbps, HD, and SD.
The Digital Audio Router provides highly effective management and distribution of AES3, MADI, and analog audio signals. The new IMS-HD2 production truck made its debut at the Dana Mecum’s Original Spring Classic Auction for Discovery Communications HD Theatre channel, and has been used for several major automotive-related broadcasts, such as the Indy 500, the Indianapolis 500 world television feed, and the Indianapolis 500 Victory Celebration broadcast last month. The NBA Finals is the first use of the truck outside the automotive arena.
