[SatNews] Thomson Video Networks has announced that two of its key executives will make presentations on the topic of "HEVC and OTT: Challenges and Perspectives" at upcoming industry events in Europe. Alain Pellen, the company's marketing director for OTT and Web TV solutions, will host a keynote panel on the topic at the Streaming Forum 2013 conference in London on June 19th. Pellen's panel is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Park Plaza Victoria hotel.

On June 26, Ludovic Pertuisel, Thomson Video Networks product manager, will present the topic at the Digital TV Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) conference in Krakow, Poland. Pertuisel's presentation is scheduled for 3:20 p.m. at the Park Inn by Radisson Krakow.

"Operators face a range of bandwidth constraints as they seek to deliver more and more services as part of a bundled offering over a mix of network topologies. HEVC comes with high performance promises," said Pellen. "These sessions will help operators assess which difficulties will have to be overcome, and which advantages can be expected from this new technology."
