[SatNews] The Management Team of NSSL, a provider of global satellite services on land and sea, has agreed to take 20 percent of equity in the company.
The completed transaction means that NSSL’s shareholders are WorldWide Mobile Communications AS (80 percent) and the Management Team of NSSL (20 percent). WWMC shareholders are Arendals Fossekompani ASA (100 percent). The move is indicative of the confidence the shareholders have in the future of the company. Following the completion of the change in ownership structure, NSSL is today revealing a new improved look and a new name: ‘NSSLGlobal’ that underscore the international growth ambitions of the company.
The new NSSLGlobal brand boasts a new-look satellite logo and the strap line ‘On land, Onboard, Online’. The new image helps to support the satellite communications company strategic vision to pioneer ‘global evolution’ for 2011 and beyond. The brand overhaul will see the satellite communications provider re-launch to market as NSSLGlobal from mid-November across all sectors and territories. As part of its international growth strategy, NSSLGlobal will continue to invest in its network and service capability. In the last 12 months alone, the business has seen significant enhancements to its DVB network and ongoing expansion of its Inmarsat portfolio as Distribution Partner (DP) for Inmarsat’s GSPS portfolio in addition to its existing BGAN and FleetBroadband DP status. With 40 years of heritage and expertise in technological development, first rate customer service and phenomenal growth in value added solutions and network capability, NSSLGlobal is a global leader in the industry and the brand is synonymous with quality, delivery and performance.
