MITEQ... Component Considerations (SATCOM)

[SatNews] Some of the latest information regarding MITEQ include the fact that, last April, the Company...

...achieved AS9100 registration, expanding MITEQ's scope and commitment to include the Aviation, Space and Defense Industries. MITEQ is now registered to AS9100:2009 (Rev. C) as well as ISO9001:2008 by National Quality Assurance USA (NQA), an accredited registrar of the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). NQA performs Quality System audits at MITEQ every six months assuring continued compliance. Additionally, internal audits, management reviews and monthly quality reports assure the Quality Management System is continually improving at MITEQ. The Company attained its original ISO 9001 registration in June of 1993, when fewer than 1500 companies were registered. ISO 9001 has since become a globally recognized standard for quality for commercial products. Nationally, it was accepted by an ever-increasing number of government agencies in place of long standing military quality and inspection criteria such as MIL-Q-9858 and MIL-I-45208.

MITEQ has also debuted new RF Microwave component products:

Airborne K-Band Low Noise Amplifier, JDMW-Series Amplifiers: The Model JDMW-Series Amplifiers series of Low Noise Amplifiers can cover the full 18-21GHz satellite communications band. This series of LNAs are lightweight (less than 23 grams) and are hermetic, making them an easy choice for extreme environments. The small size (1.18" x 0.87" square) and low power dissipation of less than a watt (12 VDC at 75 mA) make for versatile mounting locations in any application. This unit has a noise temperature of 97 K (1.25 dB NF) and 30 dB of gain at +25°C. The full operating temperature range is -30 to +65°C with a power output (at 1 dB) of +8 dBm. Optional RF input limiters, DC power connections and waveguide flanges are also available.

Broadband Single Sideband Upconverter, SME0618LC4E—2012-05-14: The Model SME0618LC4E , broadband single sideband upconverter design has an ultra-wide IF bandwidth. This single sideband upconverter is useful for upconverting and transmitting high data rate bandwidth signals as well as wideband test equipment needs. Features Include: - IF Frequency: 10 - 1000 MHz - RF Carrier Frequency: 6-18 GHz - Conversion Loss: 15 dB - Carrier Input Power: 5 dBm - IF Modulation Input Level: 13 dBm - Carrier Suppression Rejection: 25 dB - RF Carrier VSWR: 1.5:1 - RF Output VSWR: 2.5:1 - IF VSWR: 1.8:1

Surface Mount SLSM Series Phase-locked Oscillators—SLSM—2012-05-14: The Model SLSM Series Surface Mount Phase-locked Oscillators and Synthesizers offer fixed frequency synthesized outputs from 100 MHz through 14 GHz available in up to 1 octave band. Unit can be customized to operate on any DC supply from 5-15 volts DC. Integer reference multiple fixed output models can produce lowest industry noise utilizing analog lock technology. Synthesized models can be interfaced directly to PLL device or buffered and frequency decoded. Mechanical package size is 1.5" x 1.0" x 0.33", 14 pin SMT and is designed for lowest mechanical G sensitivity.

Ultra-broadband Single Pole Four Throw Switch, SW4-005400AN1NF— 2012-05-14: The Model SW4-005400AN1NF ultra-broadband Single Pole Four Throw Switch, offers a wide frequency range of 0.5 to 40 GHz. This absorptive 40 GHz terminated switch has an insertion loss of only 7.5 dB maximum with an isolation of 60 dB minimum. This small ultra-compact wideband switch housing is available in both hermetic or non-hermetic packaging.
