Integral Systems... Bringing New Gateways Into Action (Comms)

[SatNews] Integral Systems, Inc., (NASDAQ: ISYS) has announced that Avtec Systems, Inc., which now operates as part of Integral Systems’ SATCOM Solutions Division, has been awarded a $5 million, five-year, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to replace Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) multiplexers that are no longer sustainable at the U.S. military’s largest test ranges.

The contract was awarded as part of the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) Range Data Acquisition Transport System (RDATS) program. Additional contract phases will replace ATM multiplexers at Vandenberg AFB, Point Mugu Air Station and China Lake Naval Weapons Testing Center. During the contract’s first phase, Integral SystemsSATCOM Solutions Division will install approximately 100 high-performance ioPLEXAccess Gateways to the 412th Test Wing’s AFFTC, located at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), Calif. The ioPLEX Access Gateway is a proven Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product with an open architecture that easily integrates into the test ranges’ existing ATM networks. In addition, the gateway supports IP and MPLS networks making it the ideal choice as the U.S. military continues its migration to Everything-Over-IP (EOIP).
