SatBroadcasting: Winning Ways For Verimatrix

Verimatrix logo Verimatrix, a content security technology firm that offers solutions for pay-TV networks, received the Best Content Protection Technology award for the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) for DVB at this year’s Cable and Satellite International (CSI) Product of the Year Awards, announced at the IBC 2009 show currently taking place in Amsterdam. CSI’s judging panel selected Verimatrix as the best candidate from four shortlisted solutions, recognizing its technological innovation for VCAS for DVB. The product enables pay-TV operators to combine standards-based Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) technology for broadcast distribution with the interactivity of IP-based networks using a single, robust security solution. Verimatrix developed VCAS for DVB in response to demand from satellite, cable, terrestrial, and IPTV providers needing to enhance their service offerings — combining traditional digital broadcasting with premium video-on-demand (VoD) content.

Additionally, Verimatrix has signed a deal with an Asian SatTV operator for the Company's expertise within the security arena for IPTV. To increase and also protect a far more ranging arena of services that will generate additional revenues, the formal announcement is expected shortly, as well as other details of this contract.
