SATCON Is Where It's At . . .


Lady Liberty October 15-16 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, New York is SATCON, where content and communications coverage will be addressing a myriad of issues. A popular event, in fact, as of today 95 percent of the exhibit space has been sold out with no room for expansion totaling more than 225 companies. Empire sstate building

There will be tutorials each morning, including "Fundamentals of Satellite Communications, Part I and II," presented by Burt Leibowitz, Principal Network Engineer, MITRE Corporation.  The two-hour seminar is addressed to government and enterprise professionals who need an introduction to satellite communications.

St. Patrick's cathedral The keynote presentation includes Scott Teissler, EVP, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Digital Technology Strategist, Turner Broadcasting and CNN and a panel composed of the CEOs at SES Americom/SES New Skies, Hughes, Intelsat, EchoStar Satellite Services and Loral Space & Communications, Inc.

There will also be a special military keynote presentation given by Rear Admiral Elizabeth A. Hight, Vice Director, Defense Information Systems Agency.
