Major General Paul F. Capasso, Director of Infrastructure Delivery in the Office of Warfighting Integration and Chief Information Officer for the Secretary of the Air Force, will be the luncheon Keynote Speaker on Wednesday, December 9th, 2009, at the DoD Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop. Major General Capasso will join a list of notable speakers at the three-day event, including RADM Janice A. Hamby, Vice Director of C4 Systems, Joints Chief of Staff (J6) at the Wednesday breakfast, and Bruce Bennett, Director, Program Executive Office for Satellite Communications, Teleport and Services, Defense Information Systems Agency, at the luncheon on Thursday, December 10.

On-line registration is still open to attend the 2009 Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop — December 8th to December 10th, 2009 at the Crystal City Hyatt Regency in Arlington, Virginia. The DoD Commercial SATCOM Users’ Workshop is the Satellite Industry Association’s (SIA) flagship event and part of the SIA SATCOM Workshop series. This annual event, in partnership with USSTRATCOM, brings together government leaders from DoD Combatant Commands, Services and Agencies as well as commercial satellite industry operators, service providers, integrators, ground equipment suppliers, and manufacturers. The Government participants include decision-makers from AFRICOM, SOCOM, SOUTHCOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, OSD/NII, DISA, NSSO, Army, Marine Corp, White House Communications Agency, SPAWAR, and many, many more.
