Good, chairman, CEO and president of SkyTerra. “We are very pleased with this accomplishment and with our singular company name that reflects this simplification.” MSV’s Canadian Joint Venture Partner Mobile Satellite Ventures (Canada) Inc. is also changing its name to SkyTerra (Canada) Inc. to coincide with this change. As the partners provide mobile satellite services on a seamless, North American-wide basis, this will facilitate a harmonized approach to the provisioning and branding of services on both sides of the border. The new logo was specifically designed to differentiate us from competitors and represents the Company's business activities as our company continues to evolve in the wireless industry.
"Our adoption of the SkyTerra name on December 8, 2008, more accurately reflects our new capital structure and is also another significant step forward in our corporate evolution focused on bringing new technologies, products and services to the wireless marketplace," added Good. SkyTerra Communications owns 99.3 percent of the operating company.
