ISPCS 2008 New Mexico Offers More Aerojet


ISPCS There will be more Aerojet representatives at this year's ISPCS (International Symposium on Personal and Commercial Spaceflight) held from October 22-23 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It seems as though last year's one rep, Senior Consultant Don Smith realized that the combination of the senior reps and the new Aerospacers was a good blend of those who have flown in space and those wanting to be a serious part of commercial Aerospace. So, this year there will be six people from Aerospace.

White sands, NM Additionally, new this year, the ISPCS audience will benefit from more in-depth discussions on sub-orbital and orbital vehicles and systems with Bob Dickman moderating the majority of the Wednesday, October 22nd, discussions. Subject matter will pertain to exploring what the designers, regulators, and customers are planning in pursuit of creating commercially successful systems opening space to all.

Heritage Hotel Gary Payton, Deputy Under Secretary, Air Force Space Systems will discuss the Department of Defense plans to leverage and capitalize on civil and commercial space capabilities.

Parallels can be found in early days of direct-to-home (DTH) television and the personal spaceflight business of today. On Thursday October 24th, David Baylor, the man recognized for making DirecTV part of everyone's vocabulary, will address his challenges during the launch of the direct-broadcast industry. Baylor now is Secretary General of the North American Broadcasters Association.
