[SatNews] Skyware Global's Asian expansion is setting up base in Shenzhen, China — this will be a division that will provide technical support and consultancy for the company’s products and services and will operate from Shenzhen, China. Working with Skyware Global’s US and UK engineering operations, its Asian suppliers and manufacturing partners, this division represents another step to ensure that the potential of satellite communications can be fully exploited around the world.
The expansion comes with the appointment of two new members of staff: Benjamin Wong is joining as the Supplier Quality Engineer/Manager (China), and Jeff Loo Ah Beng as New Product Introduction/Procurement Manager. Benjamin and Jeff will join David Lum, Sales and Marketing Director for Skyware Global’s Asia Pacific Markets, and Buyer, Amy Lu, both already based out in Asia. Wong brings with him more than 15 years experience. At Skyware, he will be responsible for quality performance within the contract manufacturer and suppliers to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans. Loo Ah Beng, also with more than 15 years’ experience, joins Skyware Global as New Product Introduction/Procurement Manager. He will be responsible for assisting in the selection and management of performance of Asian contract manufacturer and suppliers as Skyware Global looks to implement new product manufacturing with its Asian partners.
