Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes) has announced that Dr. Rajeev Gopal, a senior director in its Defense and Intelligence Systems Division, will participate on a panel entitled “Defining Resilient Architectures” at MILCOM 2011. The panel will occur on Thursday, November 10, 2011, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST, at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Gopal will join other government and industry leaders to discuss how resilience is defined and how resilient architectures can be provided through commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) capabilities, as well as what the implications are for systems. The panel will also address spatial diversity, control authority, network access, situational awareness and
anti-jamming measures.
Hughes will also showcase some of its technologies for the defense and intelligence communities at MILCOM 2011 in Booth 647, including the ruggedized HX280 communications-on-the-move (COTM) terminal, and newly released 9202 portable Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) terminal. Additional on-site technologies will include satellite solutions with enhanced security options, including Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2, Security Level 2 certification, and those undergoing Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) certification.
