Now participating in 3/4 of a million homes in France is SES Astra's TNTSat, which offers satellite delivered programming from terrestrial transmitters into regions of France where such signals cannot be received. Using the Astra satellites, there's 100 percent coverage of the country, and TNTSAT HD should launch in mid-February of next year... just in time for the digital television mandated switch-over. With TNTSat, the five percent of the French population who would otherwise find themselves with television, such will not occur with this DTH service in place.
