L2 Aerospace has officially announced its presence on Florida’s Space Coast. L2 Aerospace was founded in 2010 by General (Ret.) Lance Lord, former commander of Air Force Space Command (AFSC) and CEO of ASTROTECH Space Operations. L2 has an unrivaled leadership team in addition to Gen. Lord – including Jim Royston (President/COO) and Brad Schneider (CFO). Additionally, Nick Gritti serves as the president of L2’s ISR & Flight Systems Division and George Hauer is president of L2 Engineering Services.
L2 Aerospace provides reliable, flexible and cost competitive solutions through three divisions:
- ISR (Intelligence Surveillance, Reconnaissance) & Flight Systems - Developing systems that meet the needs of today’s aerospace/defense markets – primarily through a family of unique products that provide multiple capabilities at a lower cost, and serve a variety of altitude and size requirements. The company’s most recent innovation – a mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) called Instant Eyes™, is a light-weight solution for ground troops that provides real-time situational awareness within 20 seconds of launch, versus current technologies that may take up to an hour to deliver the same data from behind a wall or other blocking infrastructure on the battlefield
- Engineering Services - Providing responsive, innovative, cost-competitive engineering and technical solutions based on more than 25 years of support to the Department of Defense, NASA and commercial programs. L2 Engineering Services offerings include flight and ground systems design; systems, operation and maintenance engineering; aerospace facility operation and maintenance and end-to-end mission management (including requirements planning and coordination, mission logistics, launch and space vehicle integration/testing, payload integration and launch/flight operations support). L2’s engineering services are already supporting USAF Western Range operations, providing ground systems engineering, test and evaluation
- Cyber Solutions – L2 also integrates aggressive cyber security services to protect critical surveillance data disseminated by its ISR & Flight Systems products. This capability may be utilized in broader markets as well, where real-time intelligence is distributed to decision makers
