SES NEW SKIES NSS-10 satellite (2) SES NEW SKIES has announced that Satlynx, a leading provider of satellite communication services throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has agreed to a multi-year deal for the provision of 20 Mbps on the Africa IPsys®/DVB platform aboard the NSS-10 satellite at the orbital position of 322.5 degrees East. Satlynx is a GE (General Electric) company specializing in two-way satellite broadband communication services. IPsys®is a service from SES NEW SKIES that directly connects the Points of Presence (PoPs) or customer premises of remote ISPs to the global internet backbone via satellite. NSS-10 delivers high-powered C-band capacity to Africa, Europe and the Americas and offers individual transponder switching between the Europe/Africa beams and the North America beam and features unique ‘simultaneous’ downlink functionality.
