Haivision... @ CommunicAsia2013 With... (Event—Technology Showcase)

[SatNews] At CommunicAsia 2013, Haivision will exhibit its latest media solutions that...

  • Deliver high quality video to meet HD streaming challenges at a significantly reduced bitrate with the next generation video encoder, Makito X2™
  • Simultaneously capture, record, stream video with an all-in-one appliance, Viper™
  • Stream live events and OTT broadcast channels with software-based KulaByte™

At CommunicAsia, Haivision will show the Makito X2 streaming live, low latency video to NETe2 Asia’s Radium VideoWall Processing System, bringing together live video and computer graphics sources in any combination or layout for mission-critical monitoring for military, education or enterprise applications. Makito X2 is Haivision’s next generation, dual channel, low-latency, high density HD-SDI encoder and the first Haivision product to incorporate the Makito X Series technology. It delivers higher quality video to meet HD streaming challenges at a significantly reduced bitrate.

Ideal for corporate presentations, classrooms, and medical procedures, Haivision's Viper is a compact, completely integrated platform for capturing, streaming, reviewing, distributing and publishing rich, multi-stream high definition content. The Viper is available either as a standalone appliance or as a companion contribution appliance for the Furnace™ IP video distribution system. The Viper combines the power of dual-channel real-time HD H.264 encoding, performance recording, a streaming server, a multi-stream player manager, and a video-on-demand server in a single appliance with simple touch operation.

The KulaByte™ Internet encoder/transcoder is ideal for streaming live events and OTT broadcast channels. 100 percent software-based, KulaByte combines 4:2:2 high profile H.264 encoding with advanced bandwidth controls to optimize both uplink and Internet transmission of high definition adaptive bit rate (ABR) video streams.

“This is our fifth year at CommunicAsia and we’re debuting some of our newest technologies, like the Viper, our all-in-one record and stream appliance and the newly available Makito X2,” said Charles Dobson, vice president of global channels. “Haivision’s footprint in the APAC region is continuing to grow and we’re joining NETe2 Asia, Haivision's regional solution partner, to demonstrate how our products provide an end-to-end solution for enterprise needs.”
