[SatNews] ATX Group (ATX) and TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (Nasdaq: TSYS) now have a partnership to provide turnkey network solutions to Hyundai Motor America's new Blue Link(R) telematics program using turn-by-turn navigation from TCS.

TCS' advanced navigation platform and integration services team worked closely with ATX and Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) to deliver a technically advanced navigation solution for Hyundai consumers. Innovative features include hybrid navigation, which allows off-route vehicles to be automatically re-routed, even if the vehicle is out of network coverage. TCS and ATX also worked closely with Hyundai suppliers to ensure a solution tightly integrated with in-vehicle hardware and software as well as other "cloud" services from ATX. "This solution also is unique in that it combines TCS' dynamic content with ATX's digitally optimized, voice recognition technology, enabling drivers to be less reliant on visual navigation screens and extending dynamic navigation to drivers who do not have access to an embedded or aftermarket navigation system," said Tom Metzger, senior vice president and general manager of Connected Vehicle Solutions for ATX.
