[SatNews] The Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) will participate in the “Satellite MENA 2011" trade exhibition, which occurs from the 8th to the 10th of February 2011 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Arabsat will showcase its recently launched new satellites, including Badr-5 at 26 degerees East to meet the expected demand of the increased capacity needs for HDTV service.
The Company will also showcase the services of Arabsat-5A at 30.5 degrees East, which encompassed the entire Middle East and the African continent, providing large capacities for the telecommunications sector. President and CEO of Arabasat, Eng / Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, also added that Arabsat will launch its new satellite — Arabsat-5C — mid year to the orbital position of 30.5 degrees East. This will increase the size of the Arabsat fleet to six satellites.
