SPOT Messenger Makes Its African Debut


SPOT homepage Spot LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globalstar Inc. (Nasdaq:GSAT), has expanded coverage in Africa for the SPOT Satellite Messenger products. The expansion is a result of an applique installation in the new satellite ground station in Kaduna, Nigeria.

SPOT customers will now benefit from reliable satellite coverage in Nigeria, the surrounding portions of Western and Central Africa, and parts of coastal Atlantic and Gulf of Guinea maritime region. Distribution of the SPOT Satellite Messenger Products is expected to begin in Africa early next year. SPOT provides location-based satellite messaging and tracking products and services for outdoor enthusiasts and remote business applications independent of cellular coverage. SPOT works nearly around the world including all of the continental United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Australia, portions of South America, Africa, Northeastern and Southeast Asia, and hundreds or thousands of miles off-shore of these areas.
