Quicklink, a supplier of IP video transmission solutions, has announced IEC Telecom Group, an established Service Provider of satellite-based Internet services, has made a strategic investment in Quicklink Video Distribution Services Ltd. The partnership will enable Quicklink to offer a “one-stop-shop” to its broadcaster customers.

Many of Quicklink’s current Broadcaster clients already use the Inmarsat BGAN and ThurayaIP networks to transmit live and edited reports. With its access to IEC’s global infrastructure, Quicklink will be able to supply customers some of the most cost-effective airtime packages available in the market-place. IEC Telecom Group — based in Paris with offices in Dubai, Singapore and Congo — is an official Tier 1 Service Provider for Inmarsat, Thuraya, Iridium and SpeedCast. It recently signed an International distribution contract with YahSat, the next Ka-band service generation.
